Client side Estate Relationship Manager – c£62,500 + Benefits
We’re working with an award winning developer/housebuilder who form part of a much wider property services group which incorporates private sector leasehold, BTR and social housing.
Within the Housing arm of their group, they now seek a Senior Property Manager to act as an Estate Relationship Manager (non-portfolio, client side role) liaising with their New Build Development subsidiary as follows:
- Hybrid working, reporting into a Manchester office 2 days per week with the remaining time spent on site or from home
- Working with the in-house developer at design stage, ensuring proposed builds meet their brief for delivering a great place to live and the best possible living experience for residents
- Upon completion, working to manage developments during the warranty stage, ensuring snags are dealt with promptly and to a satisfactory standard
- Sourcing (via tender) and appointing a suitable managing agent and then managing that agents performance during and (for a specified period) after handover
- Ensuring the appointed agent has all the required certification, documentation and commissioning paperwork to ensure a smooth handover and management experience
- MIRPM essential, IOSH beneficial (at the very least, H&S savvy)
- Extensive background in Leasehold Management and in particular, schemes built both for (and with) social housing elements
- Exceptional service charge knowledge with the ability to set initial budgets and advise on longer term costs as new builds settle
- The ability to understand and represent the best interests of residents (to ensure long term sustainable community living)
- Ultimately acting as conduit between developer, housing association, managing agents and residents ensuring each undertakes it obligations as part of the new-build process
Suitable senior Property Manager’s will need to live in the North West, within reach of Manchester, and want to work client side in a non-portfolio role getting involved in developments at the early stages.
The successful Senior Property Manager (acting as Estates Relationship Manager) will report directly to the board of a major national housing association with the autonomy and responsibility to make a genuine difference.
