Estates Inspector

Overview

We’re working with a highly reputable, fully independent Managing Agent overseeing a mixed portfolio of long retained, high quality Estates across London and the South East.

As part of their commitment to ensuring the highest standards of upkeep and maintenance across communal spaces they now seek an Estates Inspector / Development Inspector as follows:

  • Property Savy, with a background in either trades, property management, maintenance administration or property inspection
  • A keen interest in Property, with an eye for defects and the ability to accurately report repair requirements using a tablet/laptop
  • Visiting a number of estates across London and the South East, ensuring properties meet the required standards of maintenance / Health & Safety
  • During estate inspections, identify opportunities for enhanced service provision
  • Check Estates are being managed as per the terms of management agreements
  • Provide reports and photographs to in-house property management and maintenance teams for the purpose of remedial/major works projects
  • A great opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager or Property Administrator to work site-based, away from portfolio matters but still involved in the leasehold sector generally.

The suitable Estates Inspector / Development Inspector will have a grounding in property matters and a good understanding of maintenance/health & safety, though formal qualification in either is not essential.

In addition, Estates Inspectors / Development Inspectors need to be prepared to travel between sites, work from home (arranging their whereabouts to suit), IT literate with a full driving license and excellent communication skills.

Salary for the successful Estates Inspector / Development Inspector will start at up to £40k depending on experience, with reviews and uplifts based on tenure and performance.
