Our client is a family established, fully independent managing agent professionally accredited to ARMA-Q standards.

Providing bespoke service to a wide range of developments and clients, their local portfolio comprises RMC/RTM estates, established new builds, freeholder sites, retirement properties and off-plan developments with phased completions.

With competent in-house legal and account teams, their growth has been both organic (recommendation/word of mouth/repeat business) and through acquisition, resulting in their current need for an additional property manager.

Working office based in Northampton, the successful Property Manager / Block Manager will have 2-3 years minimum block experience and the ability to work autonomously (with internal support from legal/accounting teams) overseeing a manageable, compact local mixed block portfolio undertaking the full range of duties from budget setting/oversight through to insurance provision and claims, major works (S20 consultation), site inspections, contractor management and AGM’s.

In addition to experience, suitable Property Manager / Block Manager will come from a stable career background, have (or ideally be open to studying for) professional qualifications (IRPM etc.) and live in (or within commuting range of) Northampton.

Given our client’s portfolio, history and set up, this Property Manager opportunity would best suit a customer/quality focused Property Manager / Block Manager already working in independent practice OR one who would like a route out of corporate employment in order to provide a more bespoke service.

Core hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with out of hours called covered by an external provider and a pool car is available for use as required (although for those that do use their own car on occasion, a mileage allowance at the prevailing HMRC rate (45p per mile) is claimable).

Remuneration will include a competitive basic salary for Northampton – £25-35k, life cover and pension alongside 22 days holiday and genuine career development and advancement.
