Retained Property Portfolio Manager – Maintenance focus
Our client is a well established Freeholder with an in house Property Consultancy overseeing owned/retained block and AST management across their portfolio.
Acting as owners and managers of their own stock, they have little constraint in relation to the speed at which they can identify and undertake major works or other property related issues as they arise (maintenance, insurance etc.).
With an incumbent Property Manager soon to go on maternity leave, they now seek suitable cover from EITHER an experienced Lettings / AST Property Manager OR Residential Block Manager who will undertake a maintenance focused role as follows:
- Acting as first point of tenant / resident contact in relation to maintenance/repair issues within common parts
- Inspection of common parts within owned/managed buildings
- Managing contractors in relation to works instructed
The portfolio is mostly North London based whilst our clients office is in Surrey. The role will work part home based so the suitable Property Manager might live in or close to either (and at the very least be prepared to travel between).
Given the maintenance/works focus of this role, suitable Property Manager applicants need not come from block management backgrounds as those from LET/AST Management environments might have sufficient relevant exposure to transition.
There is no remit for service charge management, S20 consultation or other leasehold duties so applicants do not need extensive experience / knowledge in these fields
The position is a maternity cover (1 year) initially but MAY go permanent depending on the plans of the incumbent / business needs.
