We have just signed an exclusive supplier agreement with an exciting, reputable, fast-growing fully independent firm of chartered surveyors who specialise in the provision both private and panel workloads across the home counties predominantly and the wider UK on request.

Headed and run by respected figures from corporate panel manager backgrounds, they have established their practice on the principles of quality over quantity, diversity of workload/service offering, clearly defined areas of coverage and an absolute commitment to transparency and end-user experience.

How does this translate in terms of the surveyor employee experience?

Surveyors working for our client typically join from corporate backgrounds having become tired of the ever-increasing volumes, reporting formats, compliance, bonus payment complexity (moving of the goalposts!) and general lack of work-life balance. Having formed the company with a view to improving their own Residential Surveying experience, they are confident their current offering addresses most if not all of the most common gripes of those still working for the “big 4”. Colleagues are on first name terms, everyone is “on the tools” and nobody is left out of company-wide decisions.

What are they seeking?

Like minded, customer focused Residential Surveyors keen to work at a lesser pace with a quality focus for similar or better earnings. Our client isn’t just a production line churning out high volume MV’s and HBR’s, they also offer a wider, residential focused workload for those with an interest and broader general professional skills (drone surveys, damp reports, thermal imaging surveys, new build snagging surveys, development consultancy and appraisals, land acquisition and disposal etc.).

Applicant requirements

AssocRICS / MRICS /FRICS and IDEALLY (but not essentially) VRS.

Our client will also consider SAVA course attendees on a part or full-time basis depending on their study commitments.


Primarily the inner M25 and home counties generally but given our client’s ability to turn on both panel and private workflows nationally surveyors with the right mindset and motivations can be considered anywhere in the UK.

What can they offer?

Basic salaries up to £60k, an OTE up to £90k (for the equivalent of 5 points per day in corporate terms) alongside a wider package including mileage, pension and RICS Fees.
