Our client is a long established group of specialist property management companies overseeing residential leasehold blocks (including retirement complexes) across the South of England including London and the Home Counties.

An opportunity has arisen for an Area Property Manager to oversee a team of Estate Managers based on Estates across the South Coast, M3 and M4 Corridors. This role will initially be a minimum of 6 months contract but likely to go permanent thereafter.

Working from home / on the road 4 days per week, the successful Area Property Manager will visit Estate Managers on their Estates to ensure objectives, SLA’s, customer expectations and legal/technical compliance are being met, in addition to reporting back to head office (in Aldershot) 1 day per week.

The suitable Area Property Manager will ideally hold IRPM or RICS qualification and be familiar with QUBE although neither is essential if the successful Area Property Manager has sufficient Property/Estates and Staff Management experience and is systems/IT Savvy.

With the portfolio comprising predominantly retirement blocks/estates, the suitable Area Property Manager will need to have experience/understanding of the complexities/nuances involved and the ability to manage and guide Estate Managers who have responsibility for day to day property management (budget setting, major works etc.)

Although the Area Property Manager will NOT manage blocks/estates themselves, they will require thorough technical and legal knowledge in order to support, guide and develop the estate managers who do.

Suitable Area Property Manager applicants will come from a stable career background, have experience of/exposure to retirement complexes, staff management experience and a genuine customer focus. The successful Area Property Manager will also be customer focused, considerate and diplomatic with the patience to deal with an older resident demographic should the need arise through estate issue escalation.

For Area Property Manager applicants who meet this criteria, remuneration will include a basic salary (£36,250) and car allowance (£4,200) exceeding £40k with additional benefits, mileage and decent holiday and pension entitlements.
