Overview

My client is a long established property group operating across open market block management as well as public sector housing and retirement sites.

With a portfolio spread across London and the Home Counties, their property managers oversee dedicated, compact portfolios undertaking everything from budget setting to maintenance and major works.

As a result of staff redistribution, an Area Manager is required for oversight of staff and standards across an Essex, Surrey and Sussex based retirement portfolio reporting (occasionally) to an office in Aldershot.

Working from home the Area Manager will visit Property and Estate Managers on their patches (and at specific retirement sites) ensuring standards are met whilst dealing with resident concerns and head office policy.

Suitable Area Manager’s will have good overall Property Management experience, ideally (but not essentially) IRPM qualification and a genuine customer focus. Coming from a Retirement portfolio management background would be beneficial but again isn’t essential providing good general knowledge is demonstrated.

In addition to staff management, the Area Manager will also provide guidance on technical matters so will retain a hand in every day property management in that regard as required.

Salary will comprise a basic + car allowance (paid as one) totalling up to £41,600 to start.

In terms of location, our client will consider anywhere in Essex, Surrey or Sussex or those with good central access to each.
